HMAS Manoora Visit with AHHH - Tue 19 Aug 08

History was made last week in the 28 plus years of running Hash in Samoa. Hash was moved to a Tuesday to accommodate some visiting Aussie hashers with a drinking problem who hit the shores of Samoa salivating for the nectar of the Gods. Many an old hash man commented that it took a hash mere to change what has withstood for 28 years of running hash in Samoa. One can only say, it takes smart hash men to take notice of the meres some time… ok most of the time!!! On On SassygirlBJ!!!

There was quite some excitement as the local chapter of hashers assembled at the Maliu Mai Restaurant and Bar at Fugalei, in anticipation of some fresh blood straight off the HMAS Manoora. Finally, Jock pulled up with a ute-full of fresh blood alright, just the right sex for the meres to ogle. Some of the old hashmen whined about the lack of the female sailors in the group. Of course they brightened up when some medical students made their appearance. Pathetic could be the appropriate term here…LOL!!!

The enthusiastic trot took the runners through the swampy reclaimed area of Taufusi. Scribe, believes this is one of Snake's old stomping grounds! The group ended at the lights at AST and proceeded up the Moamoa road until the climb up to the Prayer House on Mt. Vaea. The walkers took the gentle climb whilst the fit lot were chased by the visiting sailors up the mountain. Finally as dusk fell the group started arriving back at base thirsty, sweaty and a bit smelly for their efforts.

The visitors were well taken care of, fed and consumed plenty of Vailima, drunk from the shells of Godfather's sweetest nuts in the whole of Samoa, an experience noted by the visitors as a memorable experience. Many of the sailors raved on about the friendliness of Samoa etc., and are now keen to come back again, very soon. They got many tips from the locals on etiquette, picking up sheilas from the bars… no make that, "what to look for" and "how not to get your constitution re-arranged by an irate samoan boyfriend" and how to spot the real girls from the wannabes….lol

The GM extended a warm armed force welcome to the group…was expecting all the guys to jump to attention there, but not so. Whilst the GM tried to get proceedings under way, so many of the older hash men were restless, rowdy and couldn't quite get their enthusiasm toned down as they all strutted like peacocks trying to help the GM…..phew!!!

The new boots saw some 14 or so sailors and others introduce themselves. Snake proceeded to shake hands with the former group and then stepped back in to the circle leaving the new meres wondering what was wrong with them….thanks to Lezzie who jumped in and gave each new mere a peck on the cheek with promises for more if….lol

Delicious was well dressed in Puletasi and brand spanking new boots. Delicious and a couple of the Manoora boys were made to drink out of their new boots. There were quite a few retreads, the scribe lost count.

SassygirlBJ was pulled up for her recent trip down under where she was nicknamed Paris Hilton…according to the GM, Paris is known only for being dumb blond, and her sexual escapades…. What has Sassy been up to, to earn the name. She was also given a down down for being ieresponsible and for pushing for a change of date for hash.

GM noted that Fang recently celebrated her ? birthday. Since meeting Fang some 10 or so years ago, she looked the same, was the same size and still the same age….according to the GM. Here is one mere who hasn't aged.

Kuini was asked to demonstrate her moves and the "BOD" for the visitors, to which she enthusiastically did as always.

The keg was afloat in no time with such a big turnout of thirsty and excited hashers that the Maliu Mai Restaurant folks were left wondering how their luck had turned as far as their sales was concerned. Thanks to Ring Ring for providing the venue and to Kiwi for settting the run.

At the conclusion of the awards, all the guests were invited to sample the local fare enthusiastically produced by the local hashers. Thanks everyone for making our guests feel right at home. No doubt they made the most of their stay and contributed to the vailima sales - let alone Lewinsky's Bar…..Malo Lewinsky!!!!

Hash Trash- Fathers Day Run

Fathers Day run @ Matareva

Hashers were lucky this weekend to receive good weather for their Father Day run at Matareva. Hash started out with a good turn out considering it was a public holiday.

Snake and Fang managed to find the hash bunch a fale right in the middle of the beach which was excellent!

Snake set off early to set one of his famous runs which included everything from mud, to the jungle, and water..lots of it too..

From the stories and complaints from those that did the run, it sounded like a great one. Malo Snake...Kiwi got back early with his son from the run and got the BBQ going. Poumuli brought some of his famous spare ribs with that killer sauce (got to get him pissed to hand over the recipe) The GM kept his promise and brought that tasty turkey..boy was it good. Selena brought her famous Bolivian Steak..and the other hashers all threw in some form of chow for all to enjoy.

The hashers were starting to get a little nervous and started getting the shakes when Lewinsky turned up 2 hours late with the Keg.2 hours was obviously too long a break from the nectar of life for the Apia Hash...so to help with this, Pussy Snapper was sent up a coconut tree to collect a few nuts (hero award if you ask me) Also, an odd view, to see a white fella up in the coconut tree collecting nuts..

When Lewinsky turned up, it didn’t take long for the hash team to get the keg setup and start pouring what must have been one of the better kegs that hash has had!

Awards were thrown left right and center. They came in from all over the place, and every hasher that was present received a down down..some had a few more than they could handle as Lewinsky tried to revive an already dead coconut tree with whatever he had for lunch..Tony Blair was hit up for an early down down for not bringing the hash mugs (only 2 weeks into the job and he forgot-terrible) Lewinsky copped a down down for being 2 hours late with the keg. Snake had his share of down downs for not helping certain Hash Meres in distress, as did Pussy Snapper. The med students received a few down downs for their misdemeanors during the run and during the Hash Circle. Poumuli copped a few down downs too for not explaining the rules to the new comers. There was a lot of hand bagging during the awards, with hashers trying to DOB others in for down downs.

Hash went well on into the evening at Matareva, and then migrated to Headquarters where the real alcoholics continued to party on into the wee hours of the morning.

Big thanks again to all the Hashers that turned up for the run at Matareva. Was a great day with some sun, sea, sand, lots of mud and that nectar of life stuff.. Hope you all had a great Fathers Day and see you all at next weeks run at Taumeasina. Remember, next weeks run is on Tuesday to accommodate the Australian Navy Crew.

Hash Run - 11th August 2008

Mahalo Apia Hashers,

This week's Fathers Day Run will be at Matareva Beach on the South Coast of Upolu. This should be an interesting run as there aren't too many roads, but lots of bush..err, for all those dodgy hasher's who like the jungle runs.

This is going to be a BYO Drinks and Food. So basically bring your Booze of your choice, and something to throw on the BBQ.

Directions: Go over the Cross Island Road and turn right when you reach Siumu, drive for about 20 - 30 mins (depending on how fast/slow you drive) and when you reach a Village called Matautu, Look out on the left hand side for the sign to Matareva Beach. Pay your $15 / $20 tala (depending on vehicle- best if you all car pool) and drive down to the beach. Map is also below...Don't forget your swimmers and see you all there!

REMEMBER, RUN STARTS AT 2PM
For those beer drinkers, Lewinsky is bringing a Keg. Pay him $15 (separate to hash cash) and you can drink from his keg instead.

Hash Trash 28/07/2008

HASH

RUN 14XX commenced from Lezzie’s Home, behind Hotel Millenia, Sogi. Lezzie has been MIA for a while since he finally took up serious work rather than playing the playboy. LOL. His co-host ACDC was spotted returning on the back of Pat’s (Lezzie’s bro) flashy wheels, supposedly having set the run, chasing Pat. Yeah right!!! He hadn’t even broken sweat when he returned to base prior to the start of the trot.

The trot started off where some of the meres were overheard to whine about the cold temperatures…. Yeah, 27 degrees Celcius!!! thanks to a stiff breeze blowing which would have been better suited for sailing. Trot was led by ACDC who encouraged the runners to take the long route with the “walkers and handicapped” taking the cleaner town route. Godfather was the unusual figure spotted walking with the latter group. Godfather, the true hasher that he is, decided to invest in some new boots and ignore the specialist’s advice not to run any more. You go Godfather!!! That’s the spirit!! Sassy caught up with the handicapped and aged group and helped Godfather spot the trail.

The trot returned to base to the sound of the Gypsy Pickers, courtesy of the Hamilton Boys High, who were on island a couple of weeks prior to entertain and perform at the Music for Life fundraising event plus other gigs around the country.

No un-towards behaviour was spotted during the run. The only amazing thing was that on arrival there was twice the number of people at the base compared to those that set out.

During the ON-ONs, it was discovered that some new boots from Great mother England had just arrived on island and decided to join the AHHH. Obviously, the good times experienced by previous intakes of Medical students has traveled to the nation of the stiff upper lips. Welcome new meres and hashmen from the old motherland. No doubt ACDC will be busy playing tour guide extraordinare besides many other things.

The new GM, Eveready got the proceedings underway promptly and when he pulled out his diary, there were giggles from some of the die hard hashers as the new GM resembled a new reverend with his diary of dirt on some of the hashers. A momentary pause after Lezzie turned off some lights hoping for a romantic hash circle. Sorry Lezzie, GM couldn’t see his sermon..LOL. Back on with the lights….

GM acknowledged the previous Mismanagement for a great job done for the past two and a half years. Shafter as ex GM wasn’t in the house, so SassygirlBJ, Mr. Whippy and XXX took a final down down as part of the outgoing Mismanagement.

Kuini was pulled up for entertaining the whole Niue 7’s Rugby Team the previous Saturday. According to Delicious who enlightened on other details, Kuini had also just turned 21 years, got divorced, is now single again, and one of the Niuean players who was quite smitten with this luscious hash mere, did a strip tease at one of the establishments in Apia. Delicious was then requested to keep the rest of the details to herself.

Welcome back to the Retreads, Tony Blair and Selena who been gallivanting around the globe. Tony B and Selena were also penalized for not responding to an email from the GM checking up on how they were during their travels. DUHHH!!! They were on holidays, according to TB.

SassygirlBJ nominated Mr. Whippy and Son of the Bitch for a fantastic revamp of the new Hash Blog www.apiahash.blogspot.com all are encouraged to visit the site which lists all the info about upcoming hashes, hash trash, maps (very sophisticated) and news about Samoa. Do write in your comments for goodness sake!!!

The GM then announced the rest of his new Mismanagement:

Brewmaster: Karaeoke, Hash Cash: Fang, Haberdasher: Under-rated, Hare-raiser: Snake, and Tony Blair, after being told to raise his hand, was instructed that he is the new Hash Mugs. SOTB and Mr. Whippy to continue with Administration of the Hash blog, SassygirlBJ and SOTB to Co-Scribe.

Under-rated was given an under-sized t-shirt for his 150^th run.

Finally, there being no other nominations from the floor, it was the turn of the Co-Hosts and Hare, Lezzie, ACDC and FBI who reluctantly took his down down as his name had not been included as Hosts for today’s run.

Snake recommended that the first Monday of each month will be a BYO bbq stuff/salad irregardless of who is hosting. Exception of course is if someone is celebrating a birthday, wedding anniversary, divorce or whatever and chooses to host the food as well.

Lezzie, as usual wanted to do a nomination after all the awards. Well done Lezzie, for not listening, as usual.

An excellent spread was put on for all and sunder to enjoy.

Hash Run - June 16th 2008

G'Day hashers,

Todays run will be from Headquarters Number 1 (On the Rocks) I wont bother posting a map, as we all know where that is. And for those of you who don't, go down town to where the Pubs are.
No one offered to host the run tonight so we have to do a town trot which is just as well as Lewinsky needs a few down downs.

See you all there tonight. Could be a set run, or it could be a live run...and just so you can have a laugh, I've copied in a joke below...

Yesterday I answered a knock on the door, only to be confronted by a well-dressed young man carrying a vacuum cleaner.

"Good morning," said the young man. "If I could take a couple of minutes of your time, I would like to demonstrate the very latest in high-powered vacuum cleaners." "Go away!" I said. "I haven't got any money!", "I'm broke!" and proceeded to close the door.

Quick as a flash, the young man wedged his foot in the door and pushed wide open. "Don't be too hasty!" he said. "Not until you have at least seen my demonstration."

And with that, he emptied a bucket of horse manure onto my hallway carpet.

"If this vacuum cleaner does not remove all traces of this horse manure from your carpet, Sir, I will personally eat the remainder." I stepped back and said, "Well I hope you've got a fucking good appetite, because they cut off my electricity this morning.

Howdy Do Hashers,

Todays run will be hosted by Ring Ring and Insecurity at their home in Alafua. Please make an effort to be there on time. I'm sure we will be running into the wilderness at some stage of the run and we don't want to lose any Hashers in the bush although I am sure that there are some that wouldn't mind that. AC/DC and FBI...
Directions are head up towards USP Alafua, on the left side, look for the SouthPac Rentals Sign, under a BIG tree, and there should be some hash paper. For those of you who don"t know how to follow directions, the map is below.

Hello Sassy Girl,

You have perhaps been wondering what has happened to me? well, it has taken some time to try and settle down back herein S.Africa. Although my body is here, my mind is still far far away in Samoa!! especially on Mondays!! I always think back to the wonderful Hash runs and great fellowship.I am attaching a couple of fotos for your records.... my christening was for me a memorable occasion!!! especially all the down downs !!!I have made contact with a Hash group here in Pretoria, called the Jacaranda Hash house. They run on Saterday afternoon andI will be joining them this Saterday at 2pm.I believe Vanessa has been attending Hash, I am so pleased as she needs a change of scenery.How are your arrangements going for the Big Event Jazz & Hash in a few weeks time? Wish I could be there, but alas, finances donot permit me to go away again. I will have to be there in Spirit.Keep me informed of any interesting happenings,Look forward to hearing from you and please convey my very best wishes to all the "Hashers"

Dear Springbok, we do miss you as well and you would be very proud that "Offspring" has reaaallly taken on the hash ideals.....instead of just discovering the ocean fauna, she is now right into the land fauna as well... bit safer me thinks!!!LOL. We're plodding along with the preparations and as usual Samoan style, no doubt everything will come together closer to the day...nothing like a bit of pressure to bring out the best in our folks.

Hash Run tonight will be at Selena and Tony Blair's Premises, yes, the one with the pool where so many dodgy things have happened over the past few runs there. Please be on time as it now gets dark quite early in the day so we would like to start at 5.30 sharp! Last thing we need is for some hashers to get lost in the bush
Don't forget your togs/swimmers..this always proves to be a great run and a good time afterwards.

Hash Blog site has been pretty quiet this month, so its time to get things up and running again. For all you retreads, its time to head down for a little run/walk/crawl...And please try and be there on time..Don't forget your swimmers either, you can go and cool down in the ocean after the run.

This Monday's hash run is being hosted by baby Jasmine,(the new addition to the hash family) down at Taumeasina- POD and Lewinsky's home. This is going to be a big one, so please make an effort to wipe the cob webs off those shoes and come down for a run.

A message for Marry & Landy aka Many & Larry from Down Under

Below find email from Larry and Mandy....obviously someone had imbibed far too much of the nectar of the Gods and called the Down Under Pair as Landy and Marry.... I guess better than Randy Mandy..lol

Well Sassy girl, unfortunately we couldn't stay in Samoa as we'd planned this time. Larry was just getting sicker and things just didn't work out for us. But we love Samoa and one day it could happen for us. Just the way of Samoa and the people that live there you would be hard pressed not to love the place and we will be back. We'd like to thank you and all the hashers for making us feel so warmly welcome. At the 1400th run it was said that the club would be lost without Snake & Fang and we totally agree. We appreciated Snake's generous offers of assistance and friendship and their invitations to spend time with them, but we were unfortunately unable to accept as Larry was too ill to go out.

We'll miss the outrageous fun of Monday nights, with AC/DC's antics on the run and afterwards at the bbq - who called the cook a bastard? - who called the bastard a cook? And the GM keeping everybody honest, Godfather strumming away and the beautiful Vailima beer. Anyway, don't want to get too soppy - you pisspots might think we miss you, with Larry now starting to get better and wondering what the f... we're doing back in Australia. Hope we all cross paths again one day, you're a great bunch.

Turn in the main gate and keep going down to the seaside. Ask someone inside to direct you to where the hash is

RUN 1399 - NEVEREADY & KARAEOKE

Hi all

4th Feb Run 1399 will be from Neveready and Karaeoke's home at Lotopa, behind Adria's Cakes. For the newbies, head west from town, past the Mormon Temple, take a left just before the Blue roofed village and keep an eye on the left side of the road...for the shopping centre... and Adria's Cakes. Turn left after the complex and head to the end of the access road.

I believe this will co-incide with Neveready's 45th birthday!!!! So all those old hashers who haven't put on their boots for a while, i dare you all to tie on those old boots and come a runnin' with us tomorrow.

Thanks Fang and Snake for last week's Run and tasty bbq...must note that since BB has been overseeing the cooking, the tucker has turned out pretty good unlike the burnt offerings that were accustomed to...LOL

Following week on the 11th Feb will be the big 1400 Run. Godfather has requested a special occassion to mark this Run. This brings Hash to more than 27 and a half years since its inception and the first run made. We will revert with confirmed venue etc., Please pass this info onto the oldies and crumpy ones to join hash to celebrate this biggie.

The love-birds Snake & Fang have kindly offered to host next Monday's run from Vaitele. We will confirm by Monday whether its from Apia Concrete Product (ACP) Compound or Charlie's Bakery, opposite the Vailima Breweries.

It would be fantastic if you can all let us know if you're participating for catering purposes. If we have a poor response then rest assured there will be no keg!!!!

Godfather has promised he will be there as well.....yeah WITH NUTS!

Run ??? last night 21st Jan-Over-rated and Xrated

The hashers were left wondering yesterday evening why it is that every time Under-rated and Xrated host a run, it's always raining or a Tropical Cylcone is threatening to hit. Some TCs are nature's wake-up calls whilst others are man-made. Scribe has overheard many a hashman compare their wives or partners coming to a TC.... and no that is not tender loving care dear..LOL

I am happy to report that all the hashers returned intact after Hoppy lost his footing whilst crossing the river up to his thighs and was almost swept away in the raging waters. One would bloody well think after last week's scribe's comment that the run wouldn't be crossing no damn rivers....but no!!!, Kiwi, who is sure-footed like a llama in the mountains forgets that there are some old....ooops did i say that...not everyone is as fit and agile as he is..... i daresay, Snake might fancy himself being one agile young lad after spending all week in bed (re-kindling the spirit??) since the departure of his kids to NZ.... Kiwi was duly punished for this. Another new hasher, hailing from Great Britain by way of PNG also ended up chariot riding home when he was lost. Ouch, "Unfrocked" "Defrocked" whatever aka Michael Askwith was the silly bastard that didnt "on back, " either he was deaf or Transporter and Ryder let him get away on purpose so they could visit the bushes at Faleata. Heard these two had an almighty fine time in American Samoa. Funnily enough they're the first two people who have spoken fondly of the eastern rock in many a centuries.....well, unless youre a wannabe fish cannery worker from this side of the pond. GM suggested that we forewarn the ex AHHH GM, Tallyho in Fiji to look out for this country man of his and ensure he is not lost along the way.

Several turned up despite the poor response rate to SassygirlBj's email to advise numbers for catering purposes. As a result, the keg was replaced with green bottles instead. GM Shafter pointed out this being the reason he wasn't drinking beer.....o geez, and my h.....oids bleed for thee!!!! LOL...Shafter took a down down never-the-less for his part in the decision to go with bottles. One good thing that came out of this was the crazy lot broke up early too. Need we talk about the food.... Xrated's chicken curry, roti and salads were just heavenly, as always, and the "mamoe" and bangers were cooked to perfection-did this have anything to do with BB overseeing the cooking team. You go girl!!!ok, thanks to the hashmen, Kiwi, Underrated, Son of the Bitch, Flash Gordon, ACDC and Lezzie for cooking, as always-they try very hard to avoid the down downs. 2008 is the year of the wimpy hashmen!!!! Cant handle their down downs, however, this could be just withdrawal symptons and may come good later on in the year as they get a bit more practice.

New Boot was all the way from South Africa, and mother to Vanessa of Liquidmotion Diving at Sinalei Reef Resort.

Retreads, were Transporter, Ryder, Ring ring and Sally.

SassygirlBJ, was penalised for turning up in rather unhash-like fashion, miniskirt and looking all corporate. puhleeasse!

Lewinsky managed to hold down his one down down for giving the GM the fingers...LOL!!

Snake and Fang were penalised for spending all week in bed since Venom and Snakebite left Samoa. According to Snake they were trying to figure out how to make babies. Dear, let us know if you need some instructions. Always glad to assist or demonstrate.

ACDC was named the Baywatch Babe for rescuing some drunken idiot from drowning at Lalomanu beach. According to BB, ACDC was lucky to be with us as he almost drowned during the rescue. Well done ACDC.

21 January 2008 Run #???

Well, last week's Run at Mr. Whippy was a hot and spicy one!!! I can just see your minds kicking into overdrive :-))) you dirty buggers!!

There was confusion as to what Run Number last week's run was suppose to be, hence the writer can't tell you what the heck next week's run number is.....Delicious should get a few down downs for this. The GM is just as confused as the scribe..... and the two darlings are coming of age and have enough problems remembering their names sometimes...especially after a heavy nite on the nectar!!

Despite the shitty weather, there was a very good turn-up to welcome Mr. Whippy's parents and family and sadly to farewell Snakebite and Venom who have been banished to NZ to attend school as Snake and Fang are keen re-kindle their sex life again....ROFL.

The run was uneventful, besides dodging puddles and almost getting brained by passing vehicles, it was a good workout. Thank goodness Mr. Whippy opted to fore-go the river crossings as it was deemed a bit too bloody dangerous. I daresay, in the case of hashers like Sassygirl who swims like a concrete block, that would be terminal.

For the first time in a very long long time, a mere actually completed the run well ahead of the hashmen.....WELL DONE BB!! BB confirmed that she needed better support as her sports bra wasn't doing what its suppose to do. If you know of any goodies that will solve BB's problem, do share it with us. We meres with a bit more than a mouthful share the same sentiments.

Noted FBI and Lezzy struggling to keep up with the front pack. After their sojourne in NZ for Archery and goodness knows what else these two got up to, they come back worse for wear and a tad over-weight.

Mr. Whippy and Mrs Whippy kept the hoootttt and spicy salsa coming-holy shite was that hot or what!!! Several meres broke out more sweat than the power-walk earlier.Thank goodness for Karaeoke's yummy choc cookies which helped to calm the heat down, some. Lewinsky was overheard saying that this is the most spice he will have or see for a while as he awaits the arrival of the first of what is believed to be a rugby team. POD is now safely in NZ growing fatter by the day!!!

The evening's procedure went along swimmingly well with poor SassygirlBJ having about 8 downdowns!. Impressive considering Lewinsky and Lezzie kept throwing up after one each.

Marion (Canadian-we wont hold that against her) was finally named - after many outrageous suggestions, Mismanagement settled on "Walking Eagle" heh heh heh!! we all know what that means. For those who dont, tough!! Come to hash and ask!!!

Eveready was given a temporary re-naming for his either poor performance or was it lack of performance.....can't remember too well at this stage.... sadly, he is now "Never-ready"
Never mind Never-ready, you should take this as a challenge!!

Snake lost the plot and referred to Mr Whippy by his real name and ended up with a down down instead of finishing whatever forgettable story he was on about.

Mr. Whippy's cousin John Lemaota, got some of the meres heart's skipping a beat until they found out he was already well and truly secured by a Cook Island beauty...ouch!!!

Much laughter was shared as the meres discussed the Circus in town. SassygirlBJ ranted on and on about some of the acts, especially the actors.....they were cute and looked might hot!! This convinced the rest of the meres to make a date with the circus!!! Warning-take plenty of tissues to wipe saliva off chin!!! LOL

MR WHIPPY & CLAN TO HOST RUN 1396

Talofa all you darling hashers of the AHHH and any visiting hasher from around the globe.

Next Monday, 14th January will see the AHHH convene at Mr. Whippy's Home at Lotopa to meet his parents and extended aiga from the US. This run was a special request from Mom prior to hitting the home shores. Furthermore, Mrs. Whippy will just have to join in then.LOL!!

We're also very sad to say that this will be the last run for Rainbow Warrior (Fabien Chauvet) who will depart for colder climes to continue with his diving training, I think its underwater demolition ???? Well how appropriate is his name...LOL... Ann will stay on for a few more months to finish her contract and join him later on.

I have been threatened by some Retreads to join us on Monday, and lo and behold, with NEW BOOTS as well!!! Unless anyone is into getting the trots and goodness knows what other diseases, one would be well advised to keep those new shoes in the box till fair weather. Just a reminder, Mr. Whippy lives close to a number of rivers and right now theyre flowing at capacity and looking like chocolate. I dare you to break out those shiny new boots!!!!LOL.

Samoa was graced by the passing visit of Pharlap - unfortunately only for a couple of days, which did not co-incide with a hash run. Could this have been done on purpose Pharlap?

SassygirlBJ is disappointed that Pharlap didn't have the decency to stop by and pow wow with Florence and the superwitch.

Welcome back Godfather. Great catching up with you and looking forward to seeing you next Monday with the ukulele. O and just a word of warning, DONT FORGET THE NUTS....there's talk of renaming Godfather....something to do with not having nuts!!!! OUCH.

We will put on a keg, AGAIN, so there had better be enough people to drink this. Flo has confirmed she will be there to deal with the other half of the keg...thank goodness for the meres!!

14th January Run 1396

Talofa all meres and hashmen!!! Last night saw a minimal turnout at Elava Resort at Vaitele-uta. It was so small we can actually list the faithful who attended: Shafter (GM), SassygirlBJ, Son of the THE Bitch (SOTB), Underrated & Isaac, Snake, Fang, Venom & Snakebite, Kiwi, Delicious and the fitter version of Lewinsky. The host, "Rambo" (Eti Laulala) finally turned up later due to work commitments. The group enjoyed a bbq under the stars surrounded by lush and beautiful gardens-one could be excused for being in an oasis!!! The small gathering looked at each other and stared at the 50 liter keg dreading the down downs that will likely come. Delicious, SOTB and Sassygirl all swore they were detoxing and did not want to drink....well not beer anyway. An honest attempt was made by those present and finally agreed there was no damn way the keg could be finished. It was unanimously agreed that Lewinsky take it to Headquarters for on-selling and raise a credit for AHHH worth of a quarter keg.

Next week's 14th Jan- run will be hosted by Mr. Whippy and his family from their home at Lotopa. Mr. Whippy's mum will arrive tomorrow (Wed) morning and has specifically asked to host next week's run. So Mr. Whippy get that map up for those who dont know where to go.

Furthermore can we have an indication of numbers so we do not have a repeat of last evening-and just stick to a few cases of the nectar.

We trust that you have fully recovered now, especially the hashers in Samoa, being the last ones to celebrate the New Year. (now that may be a surprise to most people-but rest assured we are a day behind and the last time zone to celebrate or opine any world shattering events!!!! thank goodness we're pretty savvy this end of the planet and not too far behind the so-called developed & civilised countries????!!!)

Lets hope this year is a bit kinder to our lungs, livers, knees and artificial limps so we can continue to enjoy our hashes and drink more to support the breweries and all the other poor beverage companies!!!LOL!! who need more billions so their bosses can enjoy first class holidays and goodness what else!

Apia Hash House Harriers are planning a Regional Hash to co-incide with the Jazz Festival in July. (Note to myself: Regional Hash in Apia-early July 2008-make sure i book early and use the Samoa Hotel Association site to make reservations. www.samoa-hotels.ws SassygirlBJ and Flo both work with SHA and may be able to help...LOL) So go ahead and reserve the first two weeks in July to visit beautiful Samoa-check out the sites-enjoy a beerfest-discover the lush and bountiful lands, the only genuine polynesian people and their living culture, the pristine environment, o yeah and to meet some really fantastic and friendly hashers!!! Go on, I dare you to come join us!!!

2007 CHRISTMAS HASH RUN

Tomorrow - 10th December will be the 26th Xmas Hash Run in Samoa-yep folks, AHHH is 26.7 years old and still going strong RUN 1393!!!!

Lezzie has once again offered his digs behind Hotel Millenia for our Xmas Hash Do. As promised last time, we will arrange for the meats etc and the Hashers can provide salads, bread, TARO!!! (hint hint, NUDGE NUDGE) chips and goodness knows what other delicious unhealthy goodies to go with the meats. After brainstorming with moir and I, it is now decided that a piggy, and other meats be baked, roasted, or what ever form of cooking they come in, is in order. This saves on having to BBQ especially as the weather is not too darn cooperative at the moment. Furthermore, the BBQ is looking a bit sorry at the moment-so please whoever has this to ensure its cleaned up, legs straightened up and deliver to Lezzie's place in the event some other stupid bastard doesn't read this blog and turns up with frozen meats..... in which case we can make them cook his meat.

So dust those chrismassy outfitsof all the cobwebs and dress as outrageous as you can be!!! come in spirit - NO, not full of the liquid stuff until later---sheesh, some bloody people just never learn.... support Santa from Tokelau and lets infect the other grumpy folks with the festive spirit.

Santa and his elves with the pissy crowd will depart Hotel Millenia at 5..15 pm. Pls be prompt as it will be a while to cover all the pubs....

26th November - Run 1391 I think

Run 1391 - 26 Nov: Snake, Fang, Snakebite & Venom have kindly offered to host next week's run from Vaitele. Check out Charlie Westerlund's Water Factory directly opposite the entrance to Maota o Samoa, up past Yazaki.

Snake and the Snakepit have offered to supply the nectar in the green bottles and some kaikai. Do the right thing and let Snake or Fang know 7770045 if you will be at the run. Otherwise help by bringing something to throw on the bbq.

Run 1392 - 3rd Dec: Mark Birwistle, owner of Berties B&B at Vaitele Fou has offered to host the intrepid lot and to help him celebrate his coming of age. Berties will provide a keg of the golden stuff and all the hashers to bring the meats and salad. Try to coordinate this with Florence Nightingale and SassyBJ so you dont all turn up with empty hands...LOL

Run 1393 - 10th Dec: AHHH XMAS RUN: Venue will behind Hotel Millenia in the wide open park, no nookies in the dark thank you!!! AHHH will provide the meats and all hashers to provide salads and nibbles. Make an offer what you can supply and dont be shy!!!

Everyone is expected as is traditional to come dressed in Christmassy decor.

This year we have a "brown Santa Claus"- scary mother!!!

So dont hold back, get in touch and let us know if you will be here for the Xmas run and for goodness sake learn the words of the carols !!!!

20th November 2007 Run

Last night's run saw a small turnout, thanks to Lezzie for coming to the rescue again with the venue - however, it was a great town trot with "live hares" who alternated during the run. This was followed by a very relaxing and peaceful??? evening enjoying Fang's delicious spaghetti bolognese topped with a "ripe" splash of parmesan cheese...ummm umm gooood!!! and for main course lol, were bbq'd bottom fish. Most of us enjoyed Godfather's chilled nuts :-)) The last two runs have been easy on the nectar and high on healthy food. This has to be good for us!!!

Maybe we should do away with the keg and limit the beers to 2 stubbies each. YEAH YEAH YEAH... I can hear the groaning in the background. Just kidding.

19th November 2007 Run

Talofa All

due to the poor response from all you slack buggers, we were about to cancel the run. However, due to late enquiries we're now going to run the Hash today from Lezzie's home again - this time strictly run only and everyone to buy their own drinks and food if they wish. Hotel Millenia makes beautiful curries and the Caesar Salad is to die for. All very reasonably priced and the servings are large.

We need a host for the following week's run.

3rd December Hash - Mark Birtwistle of Berties B&B at Vaitele has offered to host the hashers and to help celebrate his coming of age.

10th December - AHHH Christmas Hash - Lezzie has offered his field again for the run so pull your fingers out and advise if you will be here or not. Its not fair to expect Mismanagement to organise things if no-ones is going to be there.

AHHH XMAS HASH

The Festive Season is upon us again and many will depart our shores for better shopping overseas and to visit with loved ones on the other continents and islands. At last week's hash it was agreed that the 10th DECEMBER 2007 be our XMAS HASH.

More details will be forthcoming once the Mismanagement team has powowed, blah blah blah etc., KEEP THE DATE FREE!!!

Mismanagement is also open to any corrupt suggestions to make this day an enjoyable one!!!!

LEZZIE IN THE RING

Ok folks, this is not a joke nor a folk song....Lezzie will be in the boxing ring tomorrow, Saturday 17th November 2007 at 1200hrs - Chinese Hall Boxing Ring. SOTB tells me that Lezzie is a Golden Boxing Glove babe. Wow, after all this time most of us didnt know Lezzie had other sporty talents.

GO LEZZIE - GIVE THE OTHER GUY SOMETHING TO REMEMBER AND REGRET!!!! EVEN BETTER IS THE SOUND OF THAT WINNING PRIZE-20K??

19 November Hash HOST???

Talofa all, we're still looking for a venue for this coming Monday Hash. BYO BBQ if people want to eat!!! Pls give an indication if you are attending so we can arrange the drinks accordingly. Last week we had a wonderful little gathering at Lezzie's Home behind the Hotel Millenia. This was one of the best cooked BBQ ever - but then i guess that's because there was a professional chef doing the cooking. No offense SOTB, Kiwi and ACDC, thank goodness there were no "well burnt" offerings ....LOL

12 November Run

Lezzie has kindly offered to host today's run from his home behind Hotel Millenia. Due to the very poor numbers weve been experiencing lately, we will forgo the keg and go with the green bottles. It would also help Lezzie very much if we had an indication of who will be there so he doesn't cook up a storm. Pls comment or call Lezzie on 757 0477.

We also need a host for the following week. Can be just the venue and BYO kaikai.

Hash Run - 5th November 2007

Hi Hashers

Hash run tonite will be from Lezzie's Samoan Fale behind the Hotel Millenia. Please note that the Melbourne Cup will be hosted at the Tiafau Fale so we will be only a stone throw away.

Normal time

BYO BBQ and SAT15.00 hash cash.

Hash run on Monday 29th will be hosted by Henk and Krista's resident. Ok! be ready to imagine the map, Take the cross island road from the John Williams Building in town. Drive up until you get to Vaoala village, look for the Bank Street on the right then turn in. Keep going to the back until you reach the last turn on the left. Take this left turn NOW the house (white) is the first one on the right. If you are still confused ring me @ 30160, 7530161 or 7773237.

Run starts at normal time - remember Hash Cash is SAT15.00 per head except for the kids.
